Antec 1080 AMG full tower case:

by: Ninja_Raccoon!

Front:

Looks nice and professional; gotta love metallic gray!!! (yes that is an AMD sticker!)

Front USB and IEEE 1394:

Sleek and stylish. The only thing that i would change is the USB 2.0 issues, I have heard that it does not work with USB 2.0. But i don't have USB 2.0 (i have 1.1) so no problem here!

5.25" bays and external 3.5" bays:

Plenty of room for all your 5.25" drives. Two is normally sufficient for 3.5" drives. Too bad i don't have gray drive faces too!!!

  Front LED'S and and Buttons:

The chrome button is a nice touch; and the LEDs are VERY bright. The only gripe here is the tiny reset button. But who needs one? with win2k pro my system is rock stable.

Side of case:

As you can see there is one side blow hole. the blow hole looks very sleek and helps to cool my hot geforce 2ti.

Side Lock:

This handle / lock is GREAT! I think that it looks better than thumb screws, but it certainly is not as secure. Note: when taking computer to lan plz secure side plannel!

Power Supply:

This is an Antec 430 power supply. It comes with the case. As it ends up i love this PSU as much as the rest of the case. It has server ATX connectors in case you have a server mobo. It delivers 430 watts of juice. It has 2 temp. sensitive large 4 pin connectors for case fans. the voltage of these connectors is controlled by the PSU. It makes for a silent running computer. Note: you can only hook up 3 fans to this circuit!!! A GREAT PSU!!!

 Power supply fans:

Turn your head to the right. there ya go! now you can see the large fan on the bottom of the PSU! It dose a great job of wisking hot air away from the cpu.

More FANS!

Yes you are seeing double! those are two 80mm fans sucking hot air away from the cpu! woah...

Internal bays and more:

Here you can see the 10 bays of this case. Make note that there are 2 80mm fan mounts at the front of the case. one in the HDD cage, and one under it.

Random Stuff!

Antec gives you a case sticker and a set of keys along with the case. The sticker is nice, but i opted for my trusty AMD instead. The keys are kinda nessary...

Conclusions:

Pros:

-Cool

-Quiet

-LARGE!

-5 fan mounts

-430 watt PSU / temp controlled fans

Cons:

-HEAVY ... 37 lbs (case alone)

-USB stuff

-expensive (~120 USD)

Overall i would give this case a 93 (outta 100). This is a great case, but there is always room to improve! :-]

Mainly i dislike the weight (i go to lans).. but it comes with sheer size and quality (1.00mm steel)
